Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah. Is it allowed to obey parent who are not islamically sound but follow their forefathers ideologies

Assalamu alaikum, parents deserved to be respectful and obey their command even if they are not muslim, you can only disobey them if they want you to commit shirk (associate partner with Allah) you can disobey them even if they are muslims too.
