Assalamu Alaikum

I have been wanting to write a young children's book series (on Islamic topics, Alhumdulillah), and I have a great series of topics in mind. However, I would need to have pictures to illustrate the story. I have been researching the topic of drawing pictures and am confused as to if drawing pictures is halal or haram. I have seen many children's books which have drawings. Before I start this project, I want to make sure that it is halal. If it is not, Alhumdulillah. I will not continue with this project.
